And the Addition of Two New Tax Professionals

global X, a Cleveland based strategic tax consulting firm, has announced the acquisition of Chatham Capital Credits, LLC, a boutique state tax credit firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Chatham specializes in transferable state and federal tax credits throughout the southeastern United States, including entertainment and low income housing credits. This expansion of the global X footprint will allow the firm to offer enhanced services and support to its clients by further penetrating a growing credit market.

The Atlanta office opened mid-May, and houses the newest members of the global X team of tax credit professionals – Mr. Tony Kiene, Director, and Ms. L. Chrissie Merrill, Manager. Their central focus will be concentrated on leveraging the growing pool of state and federal tax credits as a means for corporate and individual taxpayers to participate in socially responsible projects while lowering their corresponding tax burdens.

The physical presence of the global X office in Atlanta will compliment the firm’s growth and offer greater opportunities for its clients to tap into the transferable tax credit arena. The increased participation in socially responsible projects can spur economic growth and foster government policy objectives in many communities.
